With  Robert Carsten

Saturday, February 20th
2:00 PM

Join award-winning local artist Robert Carsten in a fun and informative talk and visual presentation exploring the origins, ideas and accomplishments of the popular artistic movement Impressionism, and the lesser-known, but no less influential subsequent movement, Expressionism.   Both revolutionary in their time periods, each profoundly changed and influenced the course of art through the twentieth century, and continue to inform the art of today.   From enchanting heights of perception to intense expression of feeling, the art in this visual presentation is bound to leave a lasting impression of beauty and wonder.

A master pastelist in the Pastel Society of America, Robert studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Italy.   Robert is a much sought-after art workshop instructor, national art exhibition and awards juror, demonstrator, and panelist whose gentle teaching style and genuine love for art are simply contagious!  Please join us!
