September 15 through 20 is Patron Appreciation Week at the Springfield Town Library. The Library Staff and Trustees want to say “Thank You” to all our loyal patrons and show our appreciation for the strong support from the community over the years.
Free, home-baked “goodies” will be available throughout the day on Monday, Sept. 15, along with some small prizes for the kids. Please stop in and say “Hello,” check out a few good books and other Library materials or log on to one of the Library’s public computers with free, high-speed Internet access, and enjoy a little “thank you” snack.
In further appreciation of our valued patrons, all week the Library will waive any overdue fines for materials returned between Monday, September 15 and Saturday, Sept. 20. The Library will also will give a 50% discount on all pre-existing balances to every borrower who clears up any earlier charges. The only exception to this fine-free “Amnesty” will be for any $10.00 Collection Agency Fee, which must be paid in full since the Library has already paid that amount for each patron referred to collections.
