In
1987, having obtained permission from authorities, art historian and
artist, Bob Manning, stood alone in the center circle of Stonehenge and
witnessed a spectacular sunrise. In 2012 on a Smithsonian tour of Ancient Anatolia, he stood within the ancient stone circles of Gebekli
Tepe in southern Turkey, which predate Stonehenge by 6,000 years.
